People are watching but what are they seeing?

There’s an old saying that is so very true… “actions speak louder than words”.

Every day of your life, people are watching you! Your children watch you. Your neighbours watch you. Your parents and in-laws watch you. Your boss and colleagues watch you. Your clients and customers watch you. And every day these people are watching HOW YOU ACT, not what you say or what you post!

The most impressive or eloquent social media posts won’t impact your unsaved friend if they don’t see you actually living it.

The most passionate speeches and pleas to your children won’t impact them if you’re not backing it up with your lifestyle.

You tell them to love God, but are your actions showing that you love God?

You tell them to prioristise God’s kingdom and House, but are your priorities contradicting them?

You tell them to respect their Pastors, their teachers, their bosses, yet do you then bad-mouth these people yourself?

Let’s say there’s a lady that works at your local grocery store, and you really believe God wants you to be a witness and to see her saved and coming to Church. Why not start by showing her the love of Jesus in action! And not just when you’re interacting with her, how about when you interact wirh her colleagues or other customers in the store. Show her the love of Jesus in action!

Words are easy to say.
Social media posts are easy to write.
But living a life that represents God is a lot harder.

1 Corinthians 13:1 TPT | If I were to speak with eloquence in earth’s many languages, and in the heavenly tongues of angels, yet I didn’t express myself with love, my words would be reduced to the hollow sound of nothing more than a clanging cymbal.

But it’s not just people who watch what we do more than what we say.

Growing up, I LOVED making my Daddy proud. From a little girl to the day He transitioned to Heaven, I got great pleasure in knowing that I was giving him pleasure. So I tried to live a life that made my Dad proud. I did things that I knew he’d like. I lived the way he’d approve of. But more than making my Dad proud, my greatest desire is to make my Heavenly Father proud! And my Heavenly Father is paying far more attention to what I’m doing than to what I say I’m doing!

Because to both God and people - actions will always speak louder than words.
