Our Beliefs

We believe that the Bible is God’s Word. It is accurate, authoritative and applicable to our every day lives.

We passionately dig into God's Word to continually prune and grow every part of our lives.

We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. He exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. He is totally loving and completely holy.

In everything we do we wholeheartedly seek to honour and glorify God.

We believe that sin has separated each of us from God and His purpose for our lives.

We know that without Jesus we are desperately lost, and we have deep compassion for the lost in our world.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ as both God and man is the only One who can reconcile us to God. He lived a sinless and exemplary life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again to prove His victory and empower us for life.

We are forever grateful for the new life we have in Jesus, and it's our great joy to live it out every day.

We believe that in order to receive forgiveness and the ‘new birth’ we must repent of our sins, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and submit to His will for our lives.

We live out every day in the fruits of our repentance, enjoying our freedom and boldly proclaiming this message to the world!

We believe that all believers should be baptised in water as a public declaration of their faith in God.

Our greatest celebrations at Breakthrough are baptism services, because there's nothing like rejoicing with those who have stepped from death to life!

We believe that as believers we have the Holy Spirit who empowers us to live holy and fruitful lives.  We believe He gives us spiritual gifts for building up the body of Christ and ministering to the world. We believe that God wants all believers to live a life filled with the Holy Spirit.

We believe that God has individually equipped us so that we can successfully achieve His purpose for our lives which is to worship God, fulfil our role in the Church and serve the community in which we live.

We love to find our place in the body and do all that He has made us for, and see the fruit in every area of our lives.

We believe that God wants to heal and transform us so that we can live healthy and prosperous lives in order to help others more effectively.

We constantly expect to see God's breakthrough power operate in us, changing every part of our lives, so that we are a symbol and a source of His blessing.

We believe that our eternal destination of either Heaven or hell is determined by our response to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Everything we do is with one eye on our eternal destination, and with a passion to see fruit that will last into eternity.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is coming back again as He promised.

We are excited and expectant for the day Jesus comes again, but also determined to fulfil our mission with strength and passion right up until that day.
