Hebrews 6:18 TPT : So it is impossible for God to lie for we know that his promise and his vow will never change! And now we have run into his heart to hide ourselves in his faithfulness. This is where we find his strength and comfort, for he empowers us to seize what has already been established ahead of time—an unshakable hope!
When God gives us a promise; either individually or through His Word, we can have hope and confidence that what He said will come to pass.
Our hearts should be rejoicing over these words, because we know that God cannot lie and will always act on what He says.
However, in order for us to believe God's Word and never doubt it, we need to make sure that the words WE are speaking are also truthful.
If we lean to lying and exaggerating or changing our story, then it becomes so built into us that it's very hard to believe God isn't doing the same.
Brother Jerry Savelle has an amazing story of when his daughters were in Primary School. He says that they came home and complained beause, "EVERY kid at school has a skateboard except for us!".
He knew they were exaggerating, and wanted to teach them a lesson. So he continually asked them questions about the situation, forcing them to be more and more specific. Then he attended the Primary School with them and it was revealed that a few of their classmates had skateboards, not every child and not even the majority.
He shares that he wanted to use the situation to teach his children a valuable lesson about using important words like "every", knowing the key to believing God when He said "every" is in direct relation to how and when we use the word "every".
I encourage, and challenge, you to pay close attention to the words you are saying today. And the more truthful your words become, watch how your faith in God's Word grows.
